Hi all,
In light of everything that has been going on, I’m sure this is no surprise that a decision to cancel the upcoming Soroptimist meeting on April 1st has been made. At this moment, our next scheduled meeting is May 6th, but we will be sending another email closer to the date to confirm or cancel. We want nothing but the best and good health for all of our members as well as the community in which we serve.
Warm Place for Women has been cancelled for the month of April. We have posted on Facebook and Instagram and sent personal messages sent to those that we have their contact information. We will ensure flyers will be put in bags at the foodbank for this Wednesday, March 18th. Julie Knisley will attend the hall to ensure guests do not arrive.
We are extremely fortunate to have been able to hold our “Give Her Wings Awards Brunch.” Thank you for all of your support!
The next scheduled event was to be Walk A Mile 2020, but after discussion with the Chairs for the event, it was decided it would be best to postpone the event until the Fall. The exact date and location will be announced once the details are worked out.
As for the rest of the programs, we have some new protocols in place for essentials, such as Bea’s Kloset: We have cancelled the next 2 donation days, we have implemented a new procedure including wearing gloves and using hand sanitizers when we have clients. Plus, we have shared this same process with Heather’s Hope Chest and Siams Closet – our sister programs in Chilliwack and Abbotsford.
In the meantime, let’s all take care of ourselves and each other. I look forward to seeing you all soon.
