Alison Berg
Co-President
Alison is currently the Chief Marketing Officer at Photonic, a quantum computing company in BC. Alison is a tech startup specialist, with over 25 years of strategic marketing and HR development experience, having worked for early-stage innovators in big data, telecommunications, high performance computing, and now quantum technologies.
Alison has played a change agent role in several of BC’s most innovative start-up technology companies as they transitioned from small 5-person shops to over 100-person companies purchased in some of Canada’s largest acquisitions. Alison has also co-founded a supercomputing startup and a successful e-commerce business; she has worked for several municipal governments in labour and employee relations, and has consulted with numerous organizations on marketing, business development, and HR issues.
She holds an MBA in Marketing, a BA in English, and an HR certificate. Alison has previously served as president of Soroptimist International of the TriCities and has served on the board in multiple capacities since she joined in 2005. She’s thrilled to share the presidency this year with Meg; Alison regularly emcees and speaks at public events, and is an active community volunteer, having volunteered with Newton Girls Softball, Homes for Good, Port Moody Soccer and Coquitlam Metro Ford Soccer. A self-confessed book nerd, Alison loves chocolate, wine, Netflix, and her kids (almost always in that order.)
