Chari Grant

Past President

Chari Grant has been a member of SI of the TriCities since the club’s chartering in 1999. This is her second go-round as president, having fulfilled that role from 2008 to 2010 as well. Chari has enjoyed planning and organizing several of the club’s signature fundraisers – the Give Her Wings Awards events. She has been thrilled to see the “little club” that started 20 years ago blossom into an organization that truly helps to educate, empower and enable vulnerable women and girls in the TriCities.

Chari is a Chartered Insurance Professional who has worked in the insurance industry for the past 19 years. A lifelong TriCities resident, Chari graduated from Centennial Secondary.  She has a BA in English from the University of Victoria and a diploma in non-profit arts administration from Douglas College.

She has also coached minor hockey and been a long-time leader with Girl Guides. Outside of work, when she’s not volunteering with the Soroptimists, Chari enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
