SI of the TriCities Launches Bea’s Kloset

June 1, 2014 by

Bea's Kloset LogoWe are so excited to be starting an exciting new project!

Bea’s Kloset is a “free store” for women and young girls transitioning to life on their own. Using household items donated by downsizing seniors, friends of Soroptimists, and other donors, our recipients will be able to ‘shop for free’ for the household items they need.

Over the past few months, we’ve been working with community partners and supporters to get “Bea’s Kloset” organized.  With advice and mentorship from the SI Victoria Westshore Club, who launched Anney’s Closet in 2012, we are thrilled that the doors of Bea’s Kloset are ready to open.

Opening the Doors!

Donation Items

Women and girls in our community can be referred to us from our partner social service agencies and have the opportunity to select items from Bea’s Kloset that will transform their new apartments into functional and comfortable homes.

We’ve had tremendous support already.  While we seeded the project from our own fundraising programs, we are always looking for financial contributions and community support.

For full details, visit here or email us at beaskloset@gmail.com.

Please note: We DO NOT ACCEPT large furniture items, clothing or toys.
